Posted on 11 May 2011 by Judyth Piazza

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.” Thomas Jefferson

Hardworking people that are working for the people try to cut cost anyway that they can to help decrease America`s budget deficit and create jobs for Americans. Trade Ambassador Philip Kapneck has helped to create jobs for more than 30 years and has attracted business and industry to Maryland while working many years, without remuneration.

Ambassador Kapneck was first appointed by Governor Marvin Mandel to open Maryland`s first overseas office in Brussels, Belgium as the State`s Trade Ambassador. Ambassador Kapneck has been appointed by each administration to date since his first appointment to Belgium. He assisted the Federal Government in “Invest in the USA”. Ambassador Kapneck works tirelessly for the people of Maryland, creating jobs by bringing companies to Maryland that are unique and useful, and that need a quality workforce.

Ambassador Kapneck has introduced many companies to Maryland by helping these companies get established in the State of Maryland. Once they are established he continues to assist them in contacting other business operations which in turn makes the new companies a valuable part of the state economy and in turn, this helps to reduce unemployment numbers.

Ambassador Philip Kapneck is the true meaning of the inaugural speech once given by President John F. Kennedy. “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.”

A State Official said that Ambassador Kapneck is not looking for publicity or public recognition for his work; he just wants to help people.

Posted on 11 January 2011 by PembrokePinesNewswire

The University of South Florida Polytechnic is accepting applications for the summer 2011 Central Florida Gifted and Talented Institute. This non-residential day program runs for three consecutive weeks from July 11 to July 29 at USF Poly, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Sponsored by USF Poly and the Polk County School District, the Central Florida Gifted & Talented Institute is Polk County’s only summer day program for gifted and talented students. Featuring four separate programs, it offers innovative, challenging curriculum targeted at active learning for gifted students entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade:

· The Hot 2 Bot Applied Robotics Academy immerses students in information technology and engineering robotic concepts as they build two different types of robots, design programming for these robots, explore simple and complex machines, create remote operation devices, discover robotic career opportunities and learn about the impact of robotics on society.
· Sci-Fi High: Where Fiction Meets Reality explores the question “What If?” as it relates to literature, industry, entertainment, innovation, and technology. Students delve into classic and contemporary science fiction themes such as time/space travel, heroes & villains, utopia, technology, and futuristic possibilities. The curriculum is fused with technology, whereby students experience various forms of creative writing and generate original web sites, virtual graphic novels, short dramatic presentations and an online portfolio of their work.
· Extreme Green Adventure, an exhilarating outdoor exploration program, lets students experience biodiversity in action and discover man’s impact on environmental sustainability. Hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling will provide many opportunities to interact with nature. Experts in the areas of the environment and technology will address a broad range of techniques used to promote sustainability. Students will build a model “Green City” and create public service announcements that promote sustainability through preservation and conservation. The Extreme Green Adventure is designed for students who prefer to step outside the walls of the classroom and into nature.
· New this year, CSI: If Evidence Could Talk, will let students investigate crimes, gather evidence, analyze data, formulate conclusions and solve mysteries. Chemical analysis, blood typing, fiber and plant analysis, gathering and analyzing geological data are among the types of evidence that will be examined.
